Youth Blood - Little Jinder (aka Josefine Jinder)

Youth Blood - Josefine Jinder

Reason #1,703,890 why I love Sweden? There so many fascinating Swedish musical acts out there! I've just discovered Josefine Jinder. Her single, Youth Blood, came out last year but it's only until yesterday that I've heard it.

I don't know what I'm doing after 12 cause I use my youth blood to get through the night. Because I am a vampire; vampire hurting for fun.

What do you think? Amazing, no?

Meet Anna Anka

Meet Anna Anka

I have to thank my friend Gabi for corrupting my mind with my newfound obsession: Anna Anka. TBH, nothing entertains me more than a foul-mouthed, middle-aged, thin, tall, wealthy blonde housewife. They're so much better than the faux saccharine sugary sweet youngsters we see on television these days. Glee, anyone?

Anna Anka

Anna's such a big star now in Sweden. She rose to fame thanks to the tv show "Swedish Hollywood Wives".

Is that dress an Azzedine Alaïa? Anyway, click click for more!

Video Diary - Walking, Hiking, Climbing, Maybe 69ing (NOT!)...

Walking, Hiking, Climbing, Maybe 69ing (NOT!)...

Not satisfied with the day trip I had on Saturday, the bf and I spent the whole Sunday walking around the suburbs. We went south, to the woods. Real woods with real trees, lakes (or river??), hills, etc. I'm the least outdoors-y person out there but our trip made me fall in love with mama nature.

Walking on Cobblestone

Walking on Cobblestone

At first I thought I'd wear a pair of high heels for our day trip but after three corns (I know, gross), rough feet and more than a month of wearing them non-stop, I wore these super comfy shearling-lined Burberry Prorsum boots from their Fall/Winter 2010 collection.

Heels make great photographs yes, but sometimes, common sense prevails.

Autumn Leaves

Autumn Leaves

This, my friends, is why Autumn is my favourite time of the year. I love the cool temperatures, the amazing colours and of course, look at the sea of leaves!

Royal Gripsholm Castle, Sweden

Royal Gripsholm Castle, Sweden

Maria picked me and the bf early in the morning to go to Mariefred, a Swedish town 65 kilometers outside Stockholm, where the Royal Gripsholm Castle is located.

Inside the Royal Gripsholm Castle you'll find the National Portrait Collection (of Sweden, duh) spanning over 4,000 paintings starting from the 1500s and onwards.

Pictures to follow.

Not for Cameras, Bye

Not for Cameras, Bye

Trust me, Swedish is quite possibly the most difficult language to learn.

The best way to learn any language, whether it's French or Norwegian, is to practice it with a native to get the right pronunciations. Both friends and the bf have been teaching me Swedish words. It's the bf's turn this time around and I recorded our conversation when we walked from the train station to his flat.

What to Wear: "Chanel N°5 And Nothing Else"

I spent the whole day out with the bf and one of his friends on a trip (more on that later) and after cake and tea at Taxinge Slott (aka Taxinge Castle), the bf interviewed me for shits and giggles.

Fun times. :-)

Tears and Joy Outside Stockholm Arlanda Airport

Tears and Joy Outside Stockholm Arlanda Airport

Tears or joy? Happy or sad? Let me know what you feel after watching this video. Don't you just love my Hello Kitty pillow?

When I saw the trailer of Drew Barrymore's new film, Going the Distance, I thought to myself, hang on a sec... that's me! I can't wait to see it.

Long distance is a bitch but what can one do eh?

The most important thing I guess is that there's someone out there in the world who makes me complete.

Swedes are scared of Adina Fohlin!!! Apoliva Apolivareklamen

Swedes are scared of Adina Fohlin!!!

Remember Adina Fohlin, the ferosha Swedish model with killer eyes from many, many years ago? I love her during the Tom Ford for Gucci era. To me she's THE Gucci girl back then.

Adina Fohlin for Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche ad campaign

She has a new commercial in Sweden (Apoliva) for a company called Apoteket, a supermarket chain.

According to the Local, over 100,000 Swedes joined a facebook group called "Jag är rädd för tjejen i Apolivareklamen" or "I am scared of the girl in the Apoliva commercial" when the ad aired in Sweden.

Dang!

Are you scared of her?

Maybe it's just me but I actually find her beautiful and enchanting.
